Echo & Rig

One of our favorites is Echo & Rig. The food is as good as you’d expect from a 4.5 star eating establishment and given the history, it’s no surprise.

Their mission was to take a classic staple of American dining, the steakhouse, and break down the traditional thinking to create something entirely new and exciting. Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Sam Marvin (creator of the much-celebrated Los Angeles restaurant Bottega Louie) posed this question when he decided the time was right to reinvent what has long been the trademarks of the steakhouse genre – masculine vibe, dark rooms, fancy waiters, slabs of oversized beef and overly expensive pricing. The answer became Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse, just opened at the charming Tivoli Village just off of Summerlin Parkway; 15 minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip.

At Echo & Rig, Marvin introduces a pioneering new concept which will transform the long-held theories behind the steakhouse formula while simultaneously reintroducing the neighborhood butcher shop. The Echo & Rig Butcher Shop is a stunning homage to meat featuring one of the most acclaimed butchers in the country, a large open glass meat locker, vertical displays and an exhibition/demonstration area.

Andiron Steak & Sea

File this one under “must try” eateries in Summerlin.

The Andiron Steak & Sea restaurant is run by two passionate owners who have a resume that looks worthy of their own TV show.

Long-time residents of Las Vegas restaurateur Elizabeth Blau and chef Kim Canteenwalla have spent their impressive careers building spectacular restaurants around the world and in their neighborhood. With resumes that read like a who’s who list of upscale restaurants, casinos, hotels, and resorts; and experiences with some of the biggest names in the game, they are excited to share their contemporary interpretation of the classic steakhouse with Las Vegas and the Summerlin Community.

Andiron Steak & Sea is their third venture on the west side, after neighborhood favorite Honey Salt and the casual American tavern Made L.V.When not overseeing their two other restaurants or consulting for an international roster of clients, they are often found traveling, cooking with friends and family, and spending time outdoors. Long-time Las Vegas residents, they live in The Lakes with their son and future taste-maker Cole and their two dogs, Brookie and Dodger.

If their menu isn’t enough to whet your appetite, you might be a vegan. VIEW THE MENU
